The rules change, and so does what a buyer asks you to hand over. A notified body defines what it needs for the conformity-assessment file: drawings, pressure-test records, material certificates and other applicable evidence. That route is defined and can be prepared in advance. What often holds a project up is everything around that file: a complete bill of materials, a spare-parts list a European buyer can actually source, as-built drawings, maintenance documentation, checklists and reports. These are the practical handover items NEXOS focuses on.

A notified body assesses conformity and issues the certificate. That is a defined route with a defined file, coordinated through three accredited European notified bodies. NEXOS works on what sits outside that file and still matters at acceptance: whether a technician can work from your manuals, whether the as-built drawings match what was built, whether spare parts can be sourced in Europe, and whether the evidence an operator asks for at handover is there. No directive lists it and no notified body tests it.

You submit a request through this site. We schedule a call to understand the product, where you want to sell it in Europe, whether importers are already in view, and whether a certification route is already running. From that we agree a fixed price for the audit, scaled to the work, because a single valve is not a complete dispenser. That price is set out in the NDA, and once both sides have signed we open your file and assess it: where the gaps are, what closing them involves, and how long it takes. The audit produces the analysis and a fixed project price for the work that follows. If you have us carry out that work, the audit fee is deducted from the project price. NEXOS works on a project basis with a defined scope, not by the hour. If the scope changes, that is discussed with you before the work happens.

Yes. An existing route can be brought to NEXOS and supported as it stands, whether it runs under the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), TPED or ATEX. Where a new route is needed, we set it up. Where a notified body has to be involved, NEXOS coordinates that work through three accredited European notified bodies. NEXOS does not sell the stamp and issues no certificate itself.

This is the situation the work exists for. Open points from a site acceptance test tend to split in two: some get resolved, and some quietly stay open. Those are the ones that block a handover months later. NEXOS can establish where the process is stuck, identify the evidence that is missing, and structure the open technical and documentation points so they can be moved towards closure with the operator. Note that this is a commercial role, not a legal one: NEXOS holds no formal Authorised Representative role for your products in the European Union.

No. NEXOS does not perform factory or site acceptance testing and does not carry out commissioning on site. What NEXOS does is guide and support that process: preparing what the test has to demonstrate, being present where a second set of eyes or European operating experience is useful, and making sure the findings that come out of it are recorded and closed rather than left open. That support can be arranged anywhere in Europe.

Yes, in two ways. For your own team, NEXOS provides a single European address for questions and issues that arise here. For your existing European customers, NEXOS can provide a local point of contact when time zones, staffing or local knowledge make support difficult from where you are. Questions are answered within three business days.

From the operating side, not from a consultancy desk. NEXOS is led by an operator with eight years on the operator side of 30+ hydrogen, LNG and CNG refuelling stations across the Benelux: maintaining them in service, running periodic requalification, and handling inspections by the competent authority. That is also where the documentation question kept coming up, and where it repeatedly could not be answered from the file that came with the equipment.

NEXOS does not sell, distribute or resell equipment, parts or components, and takes no commission on your sales. It is not a sales department for your product. NEXOS is not an inspection body: it performs no statutory inspections and does not act on behalf of a competent authority. It does not carry out factory or site acceptance testing itself and does no commissioning on site. NEXOS is not a notified body, issues no certificates, and holds no authority over the outcome. What NEXOS sells is preparation: a prioritised view of what still stands between your product and a structured European acceptance process, and what it takes to close those gaps. The decision stays with your buyer, the operator, the notified body and the authority.

You do. Your documentation, drawings and know-how remain your property. NEXOS makes them European-ready and takes no rights in them.
